He didn't have those people supporting him for at least the first 10 years. He has a mission to serve the humanity. He looks at things from a very broad perspective. Tesla isn't a car company, it's an energy and software company. People don't invest in today, but the broad future ahead. They will have trucks, auto-pilot, solar energy and who knows maybe he would go into nuclear fusion as well. The more power he has, the more he will innovate and he can realize his dreams using the capital. So, exciting times ahead. People follow him because he is extraordinary overall and once in a lifetime kind of person, not because he owns a big company.
